What I Ordered from Amazon in February 2025

Hey, y’all.  Just wanted, first of all, to thank all of you for the outpouring of love we have received about losing our precious Maui last Sunday.  I recapped it on the blog Friday, posted a tribute to her last Sunday on social media, and I don’t think I’ve ever received so many comments, messages, DMs, emails – you name it – for anything ever.  I’m so happy that our girl made y’all happy, too, and that you enjoyed following along with her adventures.

Okay, today’s post is all about Amazon purchases in February.  We had a birthday party to plan, and while I prefer to shop Etsy for supplies so I can support small businesses for stuff like that, I was going through a lot with Maui and ended up waiting until the last minute to purchase pretty much everything which meant that I had to use Amazon.  I also ordered a couple of last items for our bar cart that we contributed to the school auction, and the kids needed new sleeping bags, so there’s a lot here today…

Picture Frames

I’ve had three old pictures frames on my desk for years – one for a picture of Brian and me, one for a picture of Jacob and me, and one for a picture of Olivia and me.  The frames are old and cheap as I have never bothered to replace them.  I’ve been wanting something much nicer to brighten up my desk area.  I’ve also been wanting to add a frame with a picture of Maui and me for so long, and I just never took the time to do it.  Since she is now in heaven, I thought it was high time to put her front and center on my desk with the rest of the family, and it was long overdue to replace the old (falling apart) frames that were on my desk.  I purchased this pack of four gold frames, and I am STUNNED how exceptional the quality is.  These frames are absolutely gorgeous.  There are no seams at the corners which completely takes them to the next level, they are made of real metal and real glass, and they come with mats that you can remove.  These frames come in all different shapes and sizes, but the 4x4s were perfect for my desk.  I truly cannot get over how excellent the quality is for these.  These are definitely a gem.

Clay Paw Print Kit

I purchased this clay paw print kit when Maui’s health started to decline rapidly.  I had been wanting to make a paw print ornament for our Christmas tree for years and just never got around to it, and thankfully, this arrived the day before she passed away and we were able to make prints right after she passed.  This kit is so easy to use, it’s not messy, it comes with everything you need, and it came with enough clay that we were able to make four paw prints (her paw is really tiny, though).  I will forever cherish these prints and the time we spent together making them.  A word of advice – if you have a pet that you love very much – don’t wait to preserve their little paw prints.  Do it now.  You won’t regret it.

Inkless Paw Print Kit

I had also purchased an inkless paw print kit because I wanted to have a little paper print of her paw for my bulletin board in my office, but sadly, this delivered hours after she passed away, and we’d already taken her body to be cremated.  We ended up returning them, but they are supposed to be great for babies and animals because they are inkless and don’t make a mess of their little paws and feet.

Wicked Rings / Cupcake Toppers

We bought these to put on top of Olivia’s birthday donuts and they were perfect.  They are rings that the girls can wear, but they double as décor for cupcakes, cakes, donuts, etc.  Highly recommend!

Pink Goes Good With Green Banner

We bought this to put on the mantle for her party, and I have to say, I wouldn’t recommend it.  The coloring was all wrong – everything was pastel in the set we received – and every single letter and picture had to be punched out, including all of the little holes to thread the string.  It took forever to punch everything out and string it together and it wasn’t even that cute.  The paper was also flimsy.  And it came with one set of string – light pink – which matched nothing.  The picture shows pink, black, and green string, but that was not the case.  Had we not been on the struggle bus caring for a sick dog, I would have been more prepared and had time to return this one and find something else, but unfortunately, I literally opened it one hour before her party started, so we were stuck with it.

Pink and Green Makeup / Pencil Bags

These were purchased as party favors for the girls, and they are the cutest!!  They’re large enough to use as a makeup bag or a pencil bag and the girls loved them.

Wicked Stickers

We purchased this giant pack of Wicked stickers to put in the girls’ goody bags and they loved them.

Holding Space for You Greeting Card

I bought this to use for Olivia’s birthday card.  It’s blank inside so it could be used for any sentiment.  And this was purchased from a small business on Amazon, so I love that I was able to support someone other than Amazon for it.

Cheers Neon Sign

This was a purchase for our bar cart for the school auction, and y’all, it is the CUTEST thing.  I love that it’s electric, not battery operated, and the lighting is nice and warm rather than cold and sterile.  I loved it so much that I purchased one for our bar cart at home, too.

Wine Bottle Cocktail Napkins

These cocktail napkins were another purchase for the bar cart.  They came exactly as pictured, and they would be the perfect addition to any bar cart or bar area.  I love them!

Wine Glass Charms

These were another purchase for the bar cart for the auction, and they are beautiful.  I love that there are so many of them so you can use them for large parties.  They are very elegant, and they are priced very well.

Sleeping Bags

The kids both had sleepovers last week and they were in need of new sleeping bags as Jacob was still using his old Cars one from when he was about two years old, and Olivia was still using her Disney Princess one from when she was about the same age.  I researched high and low across many websites, and these looked like the best option overall.  Our kids won’t ever be sleeping outside in cold weather, so they needed something fairly lightweight and something that wouldn’t make them overheat.  These are perfect.  They are HUGE – can easily fit a person 6+ feet tall, they’re spacious, they roll up small and don’t take up a lot of room, they have a flap at the top that your pillow can rest on, and the bottom can be unzipped so you can hang your feet out and/or “wear” the sleeping bag.  Great purchase, great price.

Silly Scents Markers

These are all the rage in fifth grade, so we bought a set for Olivia for her birthday.  We also bought a set for Olivia’s friend, Caroline, for part of her birthday gift.  All of the markers have different scents and they’re made by Crayola – our trusted brand for years.

The Complete Pokemon Pocket Guide, Volume 2

Jacob purchased this with his own money.  He already has the first one, and he wanted the second.  He gives it two thumbs up and says that every big Pokemon fan should have one!

Prop Glasses

Jacob was voted “Most Intellectual” for his eighth-grade class for superlatives in the yearbook this year and they asked the kids to dress up for the part.  We bought these prop glasses that he could use to look extra studious.  He ended up forgetting them in his backpack when the time came to take the pictures, though.  Sigh.  Lol.

Under Armour Joggers

These were a purchase for Brian for his birthday and he loves them!

Multivitamins

These are the vitamins I take daily, and it was time for a refill!

Eye Shadow Palette

I get asked about my eye makeup often, and this is the palette I use.  I was in need of a refill, so I bought four of them.  I always buy in bulk because I’m always worried about my shades being discontinued.

Pink Highlighters

I use pink highlighters to cross tasks off of my to do lists in my planner and I was in need of a refill.  I prefer the Berol brand, but I can’t seem to find them anymore, so I’m trying these.

Happy Monday, y’all!

  3. You had some good finds! I had to laugh about the Cars and Princess sleeping bags since we totally had those too. Now, my kids do have camping trips they go to and Simon uses my old sleeping back from when I was in college!
