I wrote this post a few days ago, prior to the fires starting in LA, so I wanted to pop in before my original post gets started to say that my prayers are with everyone there.  The devastation there is just unreal, and my heart goes out to those affected, those who have family and friends who are affected, and all of the first responders and firefighters trying to get everything under control.  Thank goodness for the first responders and everyday heroes who are doing everything they can to keep people safe.

Happy Friday, y’all!  Well, we're officially done with the first week back at school after Christmas Break!  It was nice because it was short, but I’m definitely ready to sleep in tomorrow and Sunday.  It’s been soooo coooold this week, so it’ll be nice to spend some extra time in my warm, snuggly bed.

Anyway, here are some favorites for the first full week of 2025!

O N E – Bracelet Holder

I’ve started doing a few things around the house to make life easier/get organized, and one of the first things I did this year was to purchase a bracelet holder to house all of my bracelets from Olivia.  She has been making Rainbow Loom bracelets for everyone for nearly a year now, so I have a huge collection from her.  I wear one every single day, and I love it because it makes me think of her throughout the day.  Since I wear them every day, she’s made me a bunch in various colors and patterns to match any and every outfit.  I’ve had all of them laying in a tiny dish next to my bathroom sink all year, and the dish was overflowing, so I wanted to find a holder to display them so I could see all of them.  I found this acrylic bracelet holder to display them, and I LOVE IT.  I love that this one utilizes vertical space rather than horizontal space, and the bracelets cling to the edges and don’t slide down on each other making it the perfect option since I can see every single one.

If you (or your littles) collect bracelets, I highly recommend this piece.  And the acrylic is beautiful… it matches any and all décor and it lets the bracelets do the talking.  This would also make a great piece to display friendship bracelets since they’re so popular right now, too.

And here’s the after:

T W O – New Mats for the Bathroom

One of the things on my to-do list for 2024 was to replace the rugs in our primary bathroom.  Ours are 15 years old (we bought them right after we built our house in 2009) so they are ratty, and the non-slip backings are dry-rotted and falling apart.  They are gross.  Well, I searched high and low online all last year, and I couldn’t find anything that checked all of my boxes for new rugs – they had to have the non-slip backing, they had to be a very specific size, and they had to look nice.  While I found plenty that checked one or two of the boxes, I couldn’t find any that checked all three.  So, job one for 2025 was to find some once and for all.

This past weekend, our whole fam went to Target, and Brian ended up finding these AND THEY ARE PERFECT.  They have the non-slip backing, they’re the perfect sizes (we needed one size to go in front of the shower, and then a different size to go in front of our sinks), and they are beautiful!  They’re Threshold brand (one of Target’s core brands that I love), so I know they’ll hold up, too.

I am way too excited about these aaaand that’s how I know I’m getting old.  Haha.

T H R E E – Guided Planner / Gratitude Journal

Olivia purchased this guided gratitude journal / planner with her own money, and it is the absolute cutest thing!  The left-hand side of every spread is for planning your day – it includes a space for the date (you select the date yourself, so you don’t have to use it every day), water intake, sleep quality, top priorities, a to-do list, appointments, “don’t forget to,” and a morning, afternoon, and night schedule.  And the right-hand side of every spread is for focusing on reflection from the day.  It includes a space to select your mood for the day on a scale from 1-10, spaces to write your highlights from the day, a space to write down something that made you smile, and a space to journal whatever else comes to mind.  It has sewn-in binding so it lays flat, and it includes a satin ribbon page marker to hold your place.  It is seriously the cutest thing, the quality is excellent, and it’s only $10!  Olivia has been carrying hers around everywhere.

F O U R – Planner Sticker Book

I ended up buying this planner sticker book for myself, and I am so impressed with the quality of the stickers as well as the variety.  This book has 3,650 stickers that you can use in your planner, and it includes flags, tiny stickers to mark birthdays, various appointments, haircuts, date nights, etc., paydays, to-do lists with checkboxes, and so many other things.  All of the stickers are beautiful, and many of them have gold foil accents.  It is such a great value… so many stickers for just $10!  I took pictures of a random sampling from the book since the website doesn’t show many of them, but this is such a small sample.  There are so many others!

F I V E – My Mantra for 2025 According to Instagram

I did one of those silly word searches on Instagram a couple of weeks ago and this one says that the first four words you see will be your mantra for 2025.  The first words I happened to see were:

Gratitude

Power

Health

Purpose

While I know that this is just a silly, fun Instagram activity, I do love that one of my words for 2025 is health!  And I’m hoping that it means GOOD health.  Haha.  Like, maybe this will finally be the year that my dizziness/tension/unsteadiness/vertigo finally goes away!

I also, of course, love the word gratitude as that was my word for 2024 and I loooove the word purpose because I feel like everyone is always searching for purpose in life.

Power, though?  Not so sure about that one.  Haha.

But anyway, I thought I’d share this in case you want to play, too.  Let me know the first four words you see in the comments!

  1. I like the planner stickers! What does it mean that I just spent forever staring at that image trying to find any words at all? Haha. I got purpose, breakthrough, miracles, and love. Aww.
