Fall Family Photos

Every year I have good intentions to hire a photographer and have our pictures taken professionally, and every year, I drag my feet, and we always end up having to do them ourselves.  Haha.

This year, we pulled out the tripod on a random day during Thanksgiving break after we’d been to a movie (Wicked) and an eye appointment (for Olivia), so when I say these were really thrown together, I mean they were really thrown together.  And I think all of these took less than 15 minutes to capture?

The good lighting was already gone for the day by the time we finally made it outside, so all of the pictures are pretty dark (even after I edited them), but I still think they turned out pretty good… especially considering we used a tripod and a timer.

I included some goofy ones because I love capturing the kids’ personalities every year, and also, please note the picture of Jacob’s foot at the very end.  Every time we ask him to take a picture of Brian and me, his signature move is to take a picture of his foot right after!  Haha.

Anyway, enough of the chatter… I’ll let the pictures do the talking now!

I'll also link any outfit items that I can below.

Happy Monday, y’all!

  4. What great pictures! As your kids get older, they definitely know the photo routine, which makes it easier. I think when we took ours with a tripod last year, we were done in about 15 too! Hope you have a great week.

    1. They do most definitely know the routine! It's gotten so much easier the older they've gotten! Glad y'all could knock yours out quickly, too!

  5. What lovely photos!! You did great getting them. I always struggled when my girls were younger, they would never look at the camera or even stand still!

    1. Thank you! Yes, it was so much harder when they were younger! We used to bribe them with marshmallows. Haha.

  6. Love Olivia's bow sweater and your outfit too!! We did our Christmas photos after Thanksgiving dinner once haha and it was so easy and the park was deserted! I wish we had gotten a photo this year, somehow we never got around to it and I may land up doing collage Christmas cards this year.
