Five on Friday - Shorts Organizers, Leggings Organizers, Bow Accent Tanks, Uniform Shorts, and a Bye, Baby Book Review

Happy Friday, y’all!  We’ve had another fun week, and I’m in shock that we’re down to just three more weeks of summer break.  Somebody make time stop!  Or at least slow down!

Today I’m sharing a few of my favorite things from the week…

O N E – Vertical Space-Saving Hangers

So – I bought an organizer for my leggings months ago and when I finally went to set it up last week I realized… I had no place to hang it because all of the horizontal closet space on the side that holds my dresses and pants was completely full.  There was tons of vertical space being wasted, so I had to find a solution for that before I could do anything with the leggings organizer.

Enter these space-saving hangers!

Y’all, why I didn’t buy these years ago to give my closet some breathing room is beyond me!  These. Things. Are. Fantastic.  Each hanger holds six pairs of shorts or skirts (you could even use them for pants) and they hang vertically to utilize all of your closet space.  The clips slide back and forth on the hangers so you can space them however you need to, and the best part is… you can attach the hangers to other hangers to make them longer and, therefore, utilize every bit of vertical space to save even more horizontal space!

These things are seriously amazing, and they are one of my favorite purchases this year so far!

T W O – Leggings Organizer

Once my shorts and skirts were rehung on the new hangers, I had plenty of space to hang my leggings organizer (on the left), and let me just tell you… I’m so dang excited about this thing, too!  Prior to this, I had all of my leggings rolled up in a basket.  The problem with that was – for starters, the basket didn’t hold them all, and secondly, I couldn’t identify which leggings were which when they were all rolled up randomly in the basket.

Now that I have my organizer, I was able to group like leggings together to keep track of them.  The top four pockets are reserved for my beloved Target leggings (best leggings on earth!!!!), the next two pockets are reserved for my Target flare leggings (same leggings as the top four, but flare instead of skinny), the next four pockets are for the CRZ Yoga leggings from Amazon that I love so much, the two after that are for my beloved Spanx faux leather leggings, then I have my Zella leggings that I don’t wear nearly as much anymore, and finally, all of my joggers are at the bottom… and I still have six pockets that are unused!

This organizer holds 24 pairs (I accidentally said 26 in my Instagram story the other day, oops), and you can hang it in your closet or over the door (the hardware is included).  The pockets are large enough to fit my thickest pair of fleece-lined joggers, and it is just perfection.

T H R E E – The Cutest Tanks

Y’all know I live in simple tanks during the summer, and I own this tank in every single color of the rainbow.  To spice up my tank collection, I recently purchased this ruffled version on Amazon in a few different colors, and I recently came across these tanks with bow accents on the shoulders!  Y’all, they are gorgeous.  And the best part is, they’re currently just $8.40 each since they’re 30% off for Target Circle week.  The sale ends tomorrow!

F O U R – Uniform Shorts

I’ve talked about these shorts on the blog so many times, but I just wanted to use this post as a reminder to go ahead and place your order for the upcoming school year!  These shorts are awesome because they’re “quick-dry” making them feel like athletic shorts, but they look like traditional chino khaki shorts.  They have front pockets, back pockets, front zip and snap closure, and belt loops.  They always sell out quickly, so it’s important to buy them early, and also, they are currently on sale for just $10.50 per pair, marked down from $15 for Target Circle Week.  The sale ends tomorrow, so load up while you can!  We’ve already purchased Jacob’s for the new school year.  This is all he wears!

F I V E – Bye, Baby by Carola Lovering

Y’all.  THIS BOOK WAS SO GOOD.  From the first page it had me hooked, and I was completely riveted for the remainder of it.  It was so fantastic that I finished it in just over 48 hours.  I literally read it every second that I could including while I was drying my hair, doing laundry, and doing various other random tasks that I normally don’t read while doing.  Haha.

It was the perfect suspense novel – it kept me on the edge of my seat, the characters were well-developed and very entertaining, and it was suspenseful from start to finish – but it didn’t have anything disturbing or triggering for me (although it could be triggering for some since it’s about a kidnapping).  The last suspense novel I read was so disturbing I didn’t think I was ever going to get it out of my brain, and I don’t like books like that.  This one, though – it’s delicious from start to finish and you will devour it.

From Amazon:

On a brisk fall night in a New York apartment, 35-year-old Billie West hears terrified screams. It's her lifelong best friend Cassie Barnwell, one floor above, and she's just realized her infant daughter has gone missing. Billie is shaken as she looks down into her own arms to see the baby, remembering―with a jolt of fear―that she is responsible for the kidnapping that has instantly shattered Cassie’s world.

Once fiercely bonded by their secrets, Cassie and Billie have drifted apart in adulthood, no longer the inseparable pair they used to be in their small Hudson Valley hometown. Cassie is married to a wealthy man, has recently become a mother, and is building a following as a lifestyle influencer. She is desperate to leave her past behind―including Billie, who is single and childless, and no longer fits into her world. But Billie knows the worst thing Cassie has ever done, and she will do whatever it takes to restore their friendship…

Told in alternating perspectives in Lovering’s signature suspenseful style, Bye, Baby confronts the myriad ways friendships change and evolve over time, the lingering echoes of childhood trauma, and the impact of women’s choices on their lifelong relationships.

Best book I’ve read this summer!  5 stars!  What did I do literally the second I finished and closed the book?  I put another one on hold by Carola Lovering!

    1. I used to store my shorts in a drawer but then didn't wear half of them because I couldn't see them all. Haha. I started hanging them years ago and now I feel like I actually wear more of a variety! And thank you! I'm happy to inspire! That's one of the main reasons I love to blog!
