Fifteen Years

Brian and I have been married for fifteen years, today, y’all.  Fifteen. 

Right before our wedding day, somebody gave me some advice that I’ll never forget – they told me to be intentional with every second of the entire wedding day because it would fly by and be over in the blink of an eye. 

I took that advice very seriously, and I soaked up every single second of that day, and I’m so glad I did, because my memories are still so vivid it’s hard to believe it wasn’t just yesterday. 

I can’t say I’ve spent every single second intentionally since then (the last fifteen years are a bit of a blur), but how can you when time is flying by impossibly fast?

In the last fifteen years, we’ve raised two humans to ages eleven and eight, we’ve raised a dog to age thirteen (tomorrow is her birthday!), we built our forever home (we think??), and we’ve gone on adventure after adventure.

We’ve had some highs and lows on our journey, as everyone does, but through it all, we’ve been right by each other’s sides.  Sure, some of that time we were probably getting on each other’s nerves, but that’s normal, right?  ;o)

Regardless, we make a great team!
