Today I’m recapping my December goals and listing my January goals. As always, I’m using a Y for YES and N for NO to indicate whether or not I accomplished my goals.
December Goals
Relationships/Be the Light
Y Go to dinner with girlfriends. – Made it to dinner with two of my friends from high school!
Y
Go on an overnight to trip with B to ATL.
N
Have another Brian and Lindsay Day of Fun Day Date – the flu hit our
house the day we were supposed to go, and then by the time everyone recovered,
the kids were out of school for the rest of the year so we couldn’t make this
work.
N
Go to dinner with old coworkers. – this was also canceled because of
the flu.
Y
Donate blood.
Y
Shop for families in need and turn in gifts to church.
Y
Put out treats for all of our delivery drivers every day in December.
Personal/Health/Wellness/Fitness/Beauty
Y Meditate, quiet time, and affirmations every day.
Y Drink
64 oz. most days.
N Close
all rings on my Apple Watch 16 days. – The flu hit our house in mid-December
and although I didn’t test positive for it (or Covid) I was terribly fatigued
for nearly two weeks, so this wasn’t possible.
Y Get
my annual ultrasound (follow-up to mammogram).
N Start
attending church in person again. – Flu and Omicron messed this up for us,
and we won’t be going in person until Omicron settles down a bit.
Y Read
1 fiction book. – I read In a Holidaze by Christina Lauren and I loved it!
Family/Fun
Y Help put on the Reindeer Run at the kids’ school.
Y Celebrate
14 years with B.
Y Celebrate
Maui’s 12th birthday.
Y Go
to the SEC Championship game!
N Watch
Olivia perform in the school Christmas program. – We missed it because
everyone had the flu.
Y Plan
and have Olivia’s class Christmas party. – Although we missed her actual
party because of the flu, I did plan the whole thing and Olivia was able to do
the crafts when she got back to school, so we’re giving this a yes even though
we didn’t attend the actual party.
Y Celebrate
my mom’s retirement.
Y Dentist
appointments for Jacob, Olivia, and me.
Y RELAX,
ENJOY, and SAVOR Christmas Break.
Y Visit
Santa Clause.
Y Make
gingerbread houses.
Y Drive
around and look at lights.
Y Watch
all the Christmas movies. – We watched Love Actually, Miracle on 34th
Street, Christmas Vacation, The Holiday, Die Hard (yes, it is a Christmas
movie), Olaf’s Frozen Adventure, Home Alone (again), and The Santa Clause 1, 2,
and 3!!
Y Finish
our new Christmas puzzle.
Y Record
a video every single day of the month and upload to my One Second a Day app.
Home/Organization/Planning
Y Get Christmas cards addressed and mailed.
Y Finish
Christmas shopping.
Y Finish
wrapping gifts.
N List
fall clothes on Poshmark.
Y Put
away all Christmas decorations by January 1.
Y Clean
the entire house top to bottom by January 1.
Y Tidy
the entire house top to bottom by January 1. – We didn’t tidy the playroom
or the kids’ bedrooms on purpose because I was waiting for January to clean
them out first, but the rest of the house was tidied and cleaned up after
Christmas.
Blog/Social Media
Y Post 3-4 times most weeks.
Y Photograph entire
house decorated for Christmas.
Y Share Christmas
home tour.
Y Recap the whole
year.

2022 New Year’s Goals + My Word for the Year
Even with the flu taking over your house, December was still a great goals month! And I know you are hitting January hard already!
ReplyDeleteOh the sweet funnies! I absolutely I’m going to make it a priority to get together with girlfriends more. Most of us don’t work anymore so we get together during the day. I just never go out in the evening rarely at all anymore, LOL! Old people goals right, LOL! Have a sweet weekend!
ReplyDeleteYour goals sound achievable so good luck in advance!
ReplyDeleteYou still managed a lot of goals despite the flu/fatigue...way to go. I feel like I have lost the last week in time, and I hate that! Love the detachable cd/radio...ha, ha!
ReplyDeleteDying laughing at your funnies! You definitely get a mulligan for last month with the flu and omicron. We all do! Have a nice weekend!
ReplyDeleteI think you did really well with your goals considering you had illness in the house! Looks like it was a fun month too. I loved my detachable cd/radio... in my tiny little Tercel.
ReplyDeleteThank you! And yes! Those were the days!
