Five on Friday - September Goals

Y’all, my favorite four months of the whole year are HEEEERE!!  I’m so excited I can’t even stand it and I’m ready for all the pumpkins, leaves, sweaters, scarves, and boots.

Today I’m recapping my August goals and listing my September goals.  As always, I’m using a Y for YES and N for NO to indicate whether or not I accomplished my goals.

August Goals

Relationships/Connect/Be the Light

N  Go to lunch with an old coworker. – Never got around to doing this because we’ve started backing off of going out too much because of Covid cases being through the roof here.

Y  Go to dinner with girlfriends.

Y Send some happy mail. – We ended up sending out happy mail to two different people!

Personal/Health/Wellness/Fitness/Beauty

Y  Meditate, quiet time, and affirmations every day.

Y  Drink 64 oz. most days.

Y  Close all rings on my Apple Watch 20 days.

Y  Focus on toning abs and arms.

Y  Dentist appointment.

Y  Visit with my therapist.

Y  Donate blood. – Yep!  My fourth time!

Y  Read 1 non-fiction book. – This month I read You are a Badass by Jen Sincero and I LOVED it.

Y  Read 1 fiction book. – I read Twice in a Blue Moon by Christina Lauren and it was cute!  Kind of predictable but still cute.

Family/Fun

Y  Book our dining for Disney in October. – We did do this, but the way things are going, it’s looking like we may have to cancel again.

Y  Attend steering committee meeting for new project at the kids’ school.

Y  Take the kids for a special treat before they go back to school.

Y  Attend Meet the Teacher Day at school.

Y  Start the new school year!

Y  Attend parent night at the school.

Y  Attend the first Home and School meeting.

Y  Start dance.

Y  Start baseball.

Y  Attend the welcome back school outdoor event.

Y  Take Jacob to the pediatrician for his annual well visit.

Y  Hang with my brother and sister-in-law when they visit!!

Y  Invent a new cocktail. – I was going to share it on the blog, but it was NOT good, y’all.  Hahahaha.  We’ll have to try again sometime.

Y  Record a video every single day of the month and upload to my One Second a Day app.

Home/Organization/Planning

Y  Get the whole house clean and tidy before the kids go back to school.

N  List more summer clothes on Poshmark.

N  Start listing fall clothes on Poshmark.

N  Schedule someone to install laundry room countertop. – Since we bought a new washer and dryer, we have to wait on this.

Y  Balance the washing machine. – We didn’t exactly do this because instead, we just decided to buy a new washer and dryer.  So I’m giving myself a check for this since we fixed the situation!

N  Complete 1 thing on Master To-Do list.

Blog/Social Media

Y  Start posting at least 4 times per week once the kids go back to school.

N  Update all blog pages with links.

Y  Implement new Instagram Stories routine when kids go back to school.

Y  Plan editorial calendar for the rest of the year.
