Five on Friday - May Goals

Okay, April was perhaps the fastest month we’ve had in this whole last year!  We have been so busy, and while I feel like I got a lot accomplished last month, there is soooo much I haven’t accomplished and I’ve been feeling a little overwhelmed.  The kids will be out of school in just TWO WEEKS and there are soooo many things I haven’t gotten done that I wanted to have done before they are home 24/7.   

Today I’m recapping my April goals and listing my May goals, and this month’s goals are going to be very cut and dry since we have so much going on… not too many frivolous ones for this month!  As always, I’m using a Y for YES and N for NO to indicate whether or not I accomplished my goals. 




April Goals

Relationships/Connect/Be the Light

Y  Possibly start up Sunday dinners again, on the back porch. – we had Sunday dinner nearly every Sunday in April (maybe all of them??) and it has made my heart so happy!!

Y  Catch up with an old friend. – I got to have a super long phone convo with one of my friends and old co-workers and it was so good catching up with him.

Y  Do a couple of other things that I have in mind.

                                                                              Personal/Health/Wellness/Fitness/Beauty

Y  Meditate, quiet time, and affirmations every day.

Y  Drink 64 oz. most days. 

Y  Close all rings on my Apple Watch at least 15 days. – I closed mine 17 times!!

Y  Run at least twice. – I ran 3 times!

Y  Take more walks with Maui.

Y  Visit with therapist via Zoom.

Y  Get my second Covid-19 vaccine!!!! – YESSSS!!!!

Y  Read Growing Boldly.

Y  Read 1 fiction book. – I read The Two Lives of Lydia Bird and I loved it!

Family/Fun

Y  Celebrate my birthday!

Y  Celebrate Easter and attend mass for the first time in a year!!!!

Y  Celebrate Olivia’s Millionaire Bash with her at school!

Y  Go the the G-Day game!!!!  (UGA Spring training game in Athens)

Y  Decide whether or not kids will attend summer camp and book if need be.

Y  Book swimming lessons.

Y  Watch Jacob play tons of baseball.

Y  Eat lots of dinners on the back porch.

Y  Record a video every single day of the month and upload to my One Second a Day app.

Home/Organization/Planning

Y  Add additional cameras to home security system.

Y  Clean ceiling fans.

Y  Transfer all photos to hard drives and Amazon cloud.

Y  Start listing summer clothes on Poshmark.

Y  Start tending herbs.

N  Buy ferns for porch.

Y  Clean off the back porch and prepare for summa summa time.

Y  Clean out master bathroom, take three.

Y  Clean out kids’ bathroom, take three.

N  Complete 1 thing on Master To-Do list.

Blog/Social Media

Y  Post 3 times per week.

Y  Complete 2 blog posts for summer.

Y  Start sharing more on Instagram stories.

Y  Pitch to one brand.

N  Install new blog template and reorganize layout, blog tabs, etc., take two. – Just when I felt confident about sticking with Blogger, I have started second-guessing myself about switching to Wordpress, so I’ve delayed all of this yet again.  Decisions, decisions.  Sigh.

N  Start reorganizing blog labels, take two.

N  Start updating/reformatting blog pages, take two.

Wrap up baseball and have an end-of-season celebration.

Wrap up dance and watch Olivia perform in her recital.

Get celebratory milkshakes or ice cream to end the school year!!!!

Record a video every single day of the month and upload to my One Second a Day app.

Start working on our summer bucket list.

Book our Disney trip!!!!

Start planning new things to do on beach trip.

List more summer clothes on Poshmark.

Buy ferns for porch, take 2.

Take down school year bulletin board and put up summer bulletin board in mudroom.

Photograph, recycle, and file kids’ school and artwork from this school year.

Complete 1 thing on Master To-Do list.
