It’s Friiiidaaaay and we have the busiest weekend on deck after probably the busiest week of the whole year. Olivia has dance class + two days of rehearsals and two days of recitals (all of which are typically 4+ hours each), Brian’s huge project at work is coming to a culmination and he’ll be working all weekend, aaaand Jacob has baseball every single day… I’m exhausted thinking about it. We just need to make it to Monday and then we can breathe a sigh of relief because we’ll be on the homestretch to summer. We can do this, y’all! We can do this! And by we, I mean me… you know, just casually giving myself a pep-talk. Haha.
Anyway, here are some of my recent favorites…
O N E – Easy Breezy Summer Top
My parents got this top for me for my birthday and it is the cutest and easiest thing to throw on which makes it perfect for baseball games, running errands, chauffeuring kids, and everyday wear. The buttons are functional and the tie at the bottom unties completely so you can customize the fit however you’d like and it's under $18. It comes in lots of colors, and I highly recommend it! Fits true to size, although, I wish it came in an extra-small because I could probably size down in the bust/underarm area.
T W O – Ritz Cheese
Crispers
I cannot stop eating these, y’all. They are so flipping good. I’ve posted about them in my Instagram stories and apparently y’all agree!! So far, I’ve only tried the four cheese and herb flavor, but everyone keeps telling me to try cheddar, too. I really just need to stop buying them because I have no self-control around them. Zero. And it’s way too easy to just grab that little box and take it along in the car with me!
T H R E E – Boyz II Men II
If you’re a child of the 90’s, the chances are reeeealllly good that you owned this CD. I swear, everyone I knew had this one! It’s arguably one of the best Pop/R&B albums of all-time and it’s definitely in my Top 10, maybe even Top 5?!
Anyway, I’ve been rocking it lately like it’s brand new, and y’all, it is just so good from start to finish. It totally stands the test of time, too, as our kids are also loving it. Listening to it has been so nostalgic and it totally reminds me of our old 7th and 8th grade school dances... ah, the memories!
F O U R – Another Old
Picture
One of my oldest friends sent me another picture her momma found while cleaning out some stuff… look how little we were! I just love getting these sweet surprises! And it’s still so bizarre to me that there are photos out there of me in existence that I’ve never seen.
Again, I have no recollection of this event. As a matter of fact, I don’t remember three of the girls in this picture either… one of them looks familiar but I can’t remember her name, and two of the girls don’t even look familiar, which is strange because I rarely forget a face! I’m the one second from the right, by the way. ;o)
F I V E – Firefly Lane
Yes, I know I’m behind, but I finally read this book and it has definitely been a favorite of mine this last week. I normally wouldn’t attempt to read a book this time of year because things are so crazy, but, naturally, my library hold (from like 16 weeks ago) finally became available, so I wasn’t going to turn it down after waiting for it so long.
It’s a long book, and I have a long line of people behind me waiting to read it, so the library only let me have it for two weeks which meant that I couldn’t take my time with it. Thankfully, the book hooked me from the first few pages, and it was a fast and easy read. I carried it everywhere with me these last two weeks and I just read any time I had a spare minute because I had to know what happened next.
I LOVED it and I highly recommend it. I suppose I’ll probably give the Netflix series a whirl next, but I’m sure it won’t compare to the book… they rarely do. I’m told that there’s a sequel to this book, too, so I’ll be after that next… assuming I don’t have to wait another 16 weeks! I guess I need to go ahead and place my hold for it!

I adore throwback pics. Those Cheese crispers sound amazing. Yum! Love your top. Hope your weekend is sweet and fun.
ReplyDeleteThose Cheese Crispers sound delicious - I want to try them but I have ZERO restraint when it comes to those things, so it may be better not to even buy them, haha.
ReplyDeleteOh man, that was one of my FAVORITE albums...I feel like I knew every single word to every single song. Classics for sure!
Cracking up at that kitchen funny - so dang true.
Have a great weekend!
Haha, Boyz II Men are oldies now. Maybe the girls you don't remember in the photo are people that you actually didn't know! Like someone's friends from outside of how you knew her. Hope your weekend goes well!
ReplyDeleteYes, I did have that CD!
ReplyDeleteI think everyone I know had it! Haha. Classic!
DeleteJust added that tank to my cart! That looks like my summer "uniform" HA
