Oh September, you were pretty ol’ great. I feel like I finally got my groove back and I accomplished so much.
Today I’m recapping my September goals and listing my October goals. As always, I’m using a Y for YES and N for NO to indicate whether or not I accomplished my goals.
September Goals
Relationships/Connect
Y Visit and/or call Mama Cass. – We visited her, and it was wonderful!
Y Call/text
two old coworkers. – Yes, I talked to one on the phone just this week, and I’ve
been texting with a couple of others.
N Celebrate
my Momma’s birthday. – My parents just got back from the beach, so they are
self-quarantining to be safe, so we’re going to get together another time.
N Celebrate my littlest brother’s birthday. – Same here… will try to get together once my parents are ready.
Personal/Health/Wellness/Fitness/Beauty
Y Meditate every day.
Y Quiet
time every day.
Y Drink
64 oz. most days.
Y Close
all rings on my Apple Watch at least 20 days.
N Make a serum with Frankincense essential oil
and incorporate into skin care routine. – Haven’t done this yet because I
haven’t exhausted my first serum… I thought for sure mine would run out this
month, but it’s the gift that keeps on giving.
Will definitely be trying it next month, though!
Y Annual
dermatologist checkup.
Y Visit
with therapist via Zoom.
Y Read 1 book for fun. – I’m almost done
with Majesty and I’m loving it so much!
Y Finish White Fragility. – Yes, and it was
eye opening.
Y Continue reading Get Out of Your Head. – Slowly
making my way through it.
Y Enjoy a pumpkin spice latte or three. ;o)
N Try a Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew. – Just when
I was going to get one, the weather turned cold, and I don’t want cold coffee
when it’s cold outside… so instead, I got a salted caramel mocha. Maybe I’ll try again in October if we have
another heat wave.
Family
Y Find out when we can all get flu shots.
Y Start
looking for Halloween costumes for the kids. – We bought them, too!
Y Buy
Halloween PJs for the kids. – Both of theirs still fit from last year so they’re
already good to go!
Y Watch
Jacob play baseball! – Got to watch him play in lots of games!
Y Get
Olivia registered for dance and start classes. – She’s started and she’s excited!
Y Book
mountain house. – Yep, we’re heading out next week!
Y Watch
as much college football as we possibly can!
Y Start
watching all of our favorite fall/Halloween movies. – We watched Hocus Pocus
so far, our very favorite.
Y Take
the kids to play on the playground in our neighborhood. – Finally!!!!
Y Get
pumpkin pie blizzards from Dairy Queen.
Y Get
pumpkin donuts from Krispy Kreme.
Home
Y Hang UGA flag.
Y Clean
and descale Keurig and change filter.
Y Clean
out my old SUV.
Y Pick
up my new SUV!!!! – It’s soooo beautifuuuul!!!!
N Clean
out Jacob’s bedroom.
N Clean
out Olivia’s bedroom. – We started hers, but we didn’t finish.
N Clean
out playroom.
Y
Spray paint travel frames white and hang in bedroom.
Y Complete
2 things on Master To-Do list. – I did one thing – I hung string lights in
my office – and I was able to cross another task off because it’s no longer
needed, so two tasks were crossed off and we’re calling this a win!
Blog
Y Post 3 times per week.

It's funny because it's true... second summer will be here before we know it. |
Also true. |
My friends and I have been saying "yeet" for, like, 20 years so I laughed WAY too hard at this. |

You did a great job on your goals!!! Good job friend. :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, lady. I'm just glad to have my "get stuff done" mojo back. It was long gone for far too long which isn't like me at all.
DeleteI've got getting a flu shot on my list, too!! Harrison got his already and now Dustin and I have to catch up haha! Happy Friday!

I looked at this title and thought - how is it time for October goals already?! My goodness!
ReplyDeleteSeptember WAS a good month! And I bet October will be just as great. Have you shared your prep documents for holidays before? If not, definitely would be a blog post I would love to read! Happy Friday!
I think we're all in false fall - the temps fell and have been n the 80s and 70s since LOL! Glad you had such a productive month! xo, Biana BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteGreat job. I love that you put fun things on your goals list.
ReplyDeleteYou did good girl and I’m so glad you got your groove back! This Instagram debacle has made me lose my groove but I’m hoping the holidays will make me feel better. I did get my flu shot a couple weeks ago and you will slay October and I know you’re in your element!
ReplyDeleteGreat job on hitting your goals! I am so glad you got your new SUV! That quote from your devotional is so true!
ReplyDelete7 out of 30 isn't bad at all. I need to look into where we can get our flu shots and make those appointments. I usually have a clinic for work but since we are not in the office, that won't be happening. Love the memes as always.
ReplyDeleteYou did a great job on your goals!
