Fourth of July is right around the corner and I’m popping in today to share a delicious and festive appetizer… a red, white, and blue charcuterie board!

Use It

Wood serving board or platter (I have this one)
Star Cookie Cutters (This nesting set is perfect and less than $4)
American flag picks (This pack of 50 is less than $3)

Buy It

Rosemary crackers (Mine are Market Pantry for Target)
White Cheddar Cheez-Its
Extra sharp cheddar cheese cut into stars
Babybel Cheese
Mini sliced salami
Strawberries
Raspberries
Blueberries
Pears
Vanilla Greek Yogurt
Marshmallows

Make It

1.    Arrange all items on a serving board or platter.
2.    Decorate with festive accessories.

This is the perfect appetizer to set out for a Fourth of July party or you could make it for a light lunch with your family!  My kiddos always love when I do charcuterie boards for the blog because that means that they get to devour them after the pictures have been taken.  :o)

Here is a list of red, white, and blue foods…

Salami
Red jams and jellies for spreading/dipping
Strawberries
Raspberries
Watermelon (you could cut it into stars as well)
Red apples
Cherries
Cranberries (or Craisins)
Pomegranates
Red peppers
Tomatoes
Red Hots
Twizzlers
Red Skittles
Red M&Ms
Red frosting for spreading/dipping

White/Neutral:

White cheeses
Light colored crackers
White Cheddar Cheez-Its
Crunchy breadsticks
Sliced bananas
Pears
Apple slices, peeled
Nilla Wafers
Vanilla Sugar Wafers
Animal Crackers
Marshmallows
White chocolate
White M&Ms
White chocolate covered pretzels
Vanilla Greek yogurt for spreading/dipping

Popcorn

Blue:

  5. I love your board, Lindsay!! Also, thinks for doing the hard part and already listing food ideas that are Red, White and Blue. That will make it so much easier for me to make a board for my festivities.
