Here we go!
54 – The lowest temp we
experienced while we were there. After
months and months of sweltering temps, we finally got to remember what cool
weather feels like and it was the most glorious thing!!
76 – The highest temp we
experienced while we were there. Not
very mountainy, but I’ll take it over 102 any day! ;o)
0 – Prescription drugs I was
on in addition to my daily ones to keep me comfortable from allergies. My allergies flare every. single. year. right
before we leave for this trip and I’m always sick as a dog. NOT THIS YEAR! Can I get an amen?!
0 – Times we crossed the
Georgia/North Carolina border… RIP aunt and uncle’s mountain house. We missed you!
14.5 – Donuts consumed.
24 – Apples picked.
2 – Apples I ate on the trip.
7 – Adult bevvies consumed.
10 – Wine tastings consumed.
2 – Bottles of wine brought
home from the vineyard.
8 – Ice creams/snow cones
eaten. (Don’t even ask me why our kids
sometimes choose snow cones over ice cream.
That is just crazy.)
57 – Gemstones Olivia found.
72 – Gemstones Jacob found.
10 – Times somebody yelled
out “COWS” because they saw cows.
2 – Times the GPS fell off
of the dashboard… why is this always a thing for us?!
0 – Times the cooler fell
over in the back of the car… this may be the first trip that this hasn’t
happened! Lol.
2 – Times that we had no
cell phone reception/service whatsoever.
(Could have been more than this, but there were only two times that we
realized it.)
320 – Pictures that we took
that were worth keeping. (This number
does not include all of the duplicates and bad ones I deleted.)
77 – Stories uploaded to
Instagram. Follow along with our entire
trip here!
0 – Times we were asked if
Jacob and Olivia are twins… this may be the first time that nobody asked!
6 – Times that Olivia said, “I’m
hungry” or asked for a snack. I find
this number way too low… makes me think we may have started tuning her
out. Hahahaha.
6 – Games we had at our
mountain house (air hockey, pool, foosball, cornhole, giant Jenga, and some
kind of thing where you try to throw a circle attached to a string on a peg).
13 – Marshmallows roasted
over the fire.
27 – MPH that the alpine
coaster went at its fastest.
1 – Time we made our own
parking spot in Blue Ridge because there was no other place to park… gotta do
what you gotta do!
2 – Slow deaths that B and I
died while we watched the Georgia
vs. South Carolina
game on Saturday.
18 – Holes of miniature golf
played.
5 – Holes-in-one made by our
fam! (Brian – 2, Lindsay – 2, Jacob – 1)
1 – Point that Brian beat me
by in miniature golf. <eyeroll>
75 – Minutes we spent
waiting on our food at the restaurant on our last evening there. No exaggeration. EEKS.
8 (average) – Times it took
to Austin Powers it out of our driveway each time we left the house. It was a super narrow driveway on a mountain so
we had to keep inching forward and backing up and inching forward and backing
up until we got ourselves turned around each time. I wouldn’t even let B attempt to back down
the driveway. It was way too scary.
2 – Times Brian initially thought it
would take to back up and go forward to get out of the driveway each time.
1 – Time we inched forward a
little too much and the front tire went over the side down the hill and scared
the crap out of me. It was fine. Everything was fine.
9 – Average hours of sleep
we got per night. #Lazy
599 – Miles driven on the
entire trip.
Millions – Of fall leaves we
saw.
At least 20 – Times I said, “THIS
WEATHER IS AMAZING!!”
Countless – Memories made
with my favorite peeps!
I’ll be recapping our trip
soon, so stay tuned!

ReplyDeleteWe sure did! Thank you!
DeleteI am SO GLAD you guys finally got to experience that cooler weather! Hopefully you get it back home now, too.
ReplyDeleteI loved following along on your Insta Stories. Looked so fun. We were on a trip this weekend too but our weather was horrific! We made the most of it. Happy new week.
ReplyDeleteMake that 4 slow deaths that died watching the Ga vs. South Carolina game. ;)
ReplyDeleteSounds like an awesome trip!
Reading about the driveway gave me anxiety haha!!! So glad y'all had a great vacation!

Yikes...that driveway! It sounds like a fabulous break with those cooler temps. We got our first glimpse of fall here in Houston, but we are back to the high 80s today...ho hum. Good luck with your vacation re-entry...ha, ha!
ReplyDeleteThe cooler temps are one of my favorite things about fall!
ReplyDeleteMe too! It was definitely the highlight of our trip!
DeleteLooks like it was an amazing trip! So jealous.
ReplyDeleteYES to all the donuts and wine tasting! And YAY to no allergies this time <3
ReplyDeleteGreen Fashionista
Laughing at the number of apples picked and number eaten!! Glad you guys had a great trip! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteYes, the cooler weather was definitely the highlight of the trip! And yes, our leaves are finally changing, but a lot of them just went from green to brown because of the drought. Such a bummer!
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a really wonderful trip! By the way the GPS falls off my window ALL THE TIME. Seriously at least once each and every time I use it no matter what I do.
ReplyDeleteHaha. That's so funny. We typically just use Google maps on our phones, but when we're in the mountains we lose service on our phones sometimes so we have to stick with GPS. I get so irritated with it, though!
DeleteI absolutely LOVED following along with you on your trip! It looks like you all had so much fun!!!
ReplyDeleteThat view is amazing! Donuts are my weakness this time of year. Can't wait to hear more about your trip!
ReplyDeleteThat weather DOES sound amazing! The mountains are the best. Ia m so happy your allergies were under control this year!
