O N E – Possible Snow Day?!
You guuuuys,
the weather people are saying that we have the possibility to get some snow
Friday night into Saturday morning!!!! Snow
around these parts is such a rarity… we only get it once every few years or
so. And when I say snow, I mean like 1-2
inches of sleet-ish mess. Haha. 1-2 inches is, however, enough to shut down the
entire city as we are not equipped to handle it since it’s so uncommon here. The last time it snowed, I was 8.5 months pregnant
with Olivia and Jacob was Olivia’s age.
I just remember praying that my water didn’t break because we wouldn’t
have been able to get to the hospital!
Here are some of my favorite pictures from that day. It was so wonderful and exciting to see it
through Jacob’s eyes! And just look how tiny he was. <3
P.S. Look at my big ol' belly... it most definitely did not fit under that jacket anymore. Lol.

T W O – 2016 Best Nine
I saw
everyone doing these on Instagram again this year, so naturally I had to join
in on the fun! Apparently you guys all
love fall and Christmas just as much as I do because every single one of these
was taken between October and December!
Ladies after my own heart!
T H R E E – School Pictures
With all of
the Christmas hullaballoo in December, I never had a chance to post one of my
very favorites… the kids’ school pictures!
This is the one that will be in the yearbook for Jacob, and this is
Olivia’s Christmas picture. At her
school they still do fall, Christmas, and spring pictures and, of course, I have
to buy all of them. <Insert eye roll
here.> Why do they always have to be
so darn cute?!
F O U R – Snowflake Necklace
I’m still
enjoying my anniversary gift from B. I’ve
barely taken it off since he gave it to me at the beginning of December. And how appropriate it will be if it snows
this weekend. ;o)
F I V E – A Day Home
And finally,
my very favorite thing for the week – I get to stay home with Jacob
today!!!! You may have seen my post on
Instagram on Wednesday about having a bad day because I was going through withdrawals
from being away from my babies after spending so much time with them during the
holidays? Well, since Jacob is still out
of school this week, I had to take one more day and that day is today! I think we’ll do some couch snuggling,
Lego-building, and maybe go somewhere for breakfast or lunch. I’m a happy happy lady!
Here’s to
snow in Georgia this weekend! If you’re in
snow country, send some snowy vibes our way!
Which reminds me, I probably need to go load up on bread, milk, and eggs
since that’s what everyone else in the southeast is doing today! Cheers!

ReplyDeleteI hope you get snow this weekend! So I have seen the best 9 of the year, but how in the world do you do that? Sometimes I am so tech-challenged. The kiddos look precious in their pictures - such good ones. Still loving your snowflake necklace - such a sweet present!
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean about snow down here. We usually get it once a year here in NC, but it's usually not a ton of snow, but there isnt' the equipment to take care of it so everything is shut down. I had to run to the grocery store to get groceries (since we hadn't been since Christmas) and supplies for Emmy's party this weekend. OMG it was a mad house. Totally forgot about the snow predicted. People are just nuts. It's all weird to me since I'm from Indiana and grew up with it. And LOTS of it.
ReplyDeleteOoooooo I hope you get snow!! That will be so magical for the kids! The school pictures are just precious and I am still loving that necklace, so pretty! Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your extra long weekend girl and all the snuggles today and then tomorrow if you guys get that snow day!! Loving that snowflake necklace still! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteWe get lots of snow this way girl and I'm so sending the snow vibes your way. In fact I'm ready for another big snowstorm, we just have a dusting on the ground right now. I absolutely love the snow pictures of Jacob and your sweet belly! Enjoy being all snuggly, I miss the days playing with Legos. Happy Weekend!
ReplyDeleteSending you all the snow vibes! We have so much of it here and I would be more than happy to share it with everyone! Hahaha! Enjoy your day with your boy, it is so hard to go back to work. I had major mom guilt this week and have been missing my kiddos all week as well. I am ready for the weekend for some family time. Have a wonderful weekend!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jenna! Ugh, we ended up getting nothing! Nada. Zip. Zilch. Hopefully we'll have another chance before the season is over!
DeleteWe are supposed to be getting some snow here too, which is super rare. 2015 we actually had a mini-blizzard which literally shut the entire city down. We were snowed in for days...and went an entire night without any electricity. Thank goodness for fireplaces!
ReplyDeleteHope you and Jacob have a good day today, I wish I was home on the couch...this sickness is draining!

I hope you guys get some snow this weekend! We have a chance of snow this afternoon but it will probably be just a dusting but at least we can see snow flakes!! I always hate going back to work after a break off but sometimes it is nice to have some adult interaction (at least for me :) ). I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteWell, we didn't get any. Boo!!!! I hope you guys were able to get some! And yes, I do feel the same way about the adult interaction... it does make you feel a little crazy to be surrounded by all kids and no adults for days on end! Haha.
DeleteHappy Friday!! Hope you guys get a little snow for your littles to play in :) Have a great day with Jacob today!!

Thank you, Kristi! Unfortunately we didn't get any. Fingers crossed for another chance later this winter!
DeleteHow sweet are those snow pics! Stay safe and warm this weekend in the prettiness! I still need to get that Balancing in Heels book. Happy Friday gurlie <3

Okay, first of all, how sweet was little Jacob?! Love those photos and yay for more snow. We have had a bunch of snow for awhile now here, and it is so pretty. Second, the school pictures are amazing! And third, so glad you get a day with your special little man!
ReplyDeleteGreat re-cap! Love the snow pictures and that snowflake necklace is beautiful! Happy Weekend :)
ReplyDeleteSarah Bell
Trendy & Tidy
Thank you, Sarah!! I hope you have a great week!
DeleteI will happily send any snow Philadelphia gets this year down to Georgia! :)
ReplyDeleteI'm so used to snow that I always find it funny when cities shut down with so little. I guess we're numb to it at this point lol
ReplyDeleteThat snowflake necklace is gorgeous and how freaking adorable are the school pics?!
Your belly was so tiny! And low! Goodness how lucky you were. I was pregnant everywhere. Even my ears!
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you got to spend the day at home yesterday! I'm sure Jacob really enjoyed that! And I LOVE that necklace B got you--especially since it has meaning! So beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSarah at MeetTheShaneyfelts
oooooh your babies are SO precious! Those pics are too cute! I heard people in Georgia were a little scared yesterday based on fears of what happened a couple years ago in ATL, and i don't blame people because that was bananas!
ReplyDeleteSuch a great Friday Favorites look. Your daughter's Christmas photo and dress is adorable and I love your red coat to, Lindsay. I am glad you had a great holiday season!
ReplyDeleteI welcome you to stop by my blog too and I'd love for you to linkup your stylish latest looks too. Thanks.
Happy New Year! Ada. =)

Snow in the south is hilarious. We get 18" here and people carry on as normal. However, we haven't had a decent snow in almost 2 years ourselves. We are supposed to get a brutal ice storm on Friday though. I am not one bit excited about that. The last time that happened, we didn't have power for 8 days.
