Nine years ago today I applied my makeup extra carefully. 

Nine years ago today I wore my hair in a special style.

Nine years ago today my mom zipped me into a white, lace, beaded gown… the most beautiful gown I will ever wear.

Nine years ago today I spent the entire afternoon with all of the ladies in my life with whom I hold dear.

Nine years ago today I nervously sipped on mimosas as I prepared for the evening ahead.

Nine years ago today I moved my engagement ring to my right hand and I picked up a bouquet of seven white delicate calla lilies.

Nine years ago today I slipped my arm through my Daddy’s and the big wooden church doors opened to let us in.

Nine years ago today all heads turned toward me as we walked down the aisle.

Nine years ago today I teared up as I approached my handsome groom and saw his eyes shining in the dim, romantic light of the church.

Nine years ago today my Daddy handed me off to my very-soon-to-be husband.

Nine years ago today my late grandfather read to the congregation my favorite bible reading.

Nine years ago today Brian and I looked into each other’s eyes and promised to love each other forever.

Nine years ago today Brian slipped a diamond ring on my finger to symbolize our commitment to one another.

Nine years ago today I dabbed at my eyes with a tissue as the priest blessed our very new marriage.

Nine years ago today Brian and I kissed for the first time as husband and wife.

Nine years ago today a thunderous applause erupted in the church as the priest pronounced us husband and wife.

Nine years ago today, Brian took my hand and we proudly marched up the aisle to start our journey together.

Nine years ago today we ate cake and drank champagne and danced the night away with all of the people we love.

Nine years ago today two families joined to unite as one.

Nine years ago today everyone came together to celebrate us.

Nine years ago today I married my best friend...
