Friday evening
started out with a bang… another date night for Mommy and Daddy! That makes three in just eight days which may
be a record since we’ve had kids! One of
our NY resolutions was to go on one date night per month this year, and we’ve
gotten a little behind, which has resulted in us apparently overcompensating
this last week. It’s been nice, though! Plus it gave me an excuse to wear my faux
leather leggings that have been burning a hole in my closet since last
year. Aren’t they cute?!
So anyway, our
church hosted a wine tasting Friday evening.
There was an array of heavy hor d’ouevres, an assortment of different
wines for the tasting, and a jazz quartet for a bit of ambiance. My favorite wine ended up being the most
expensive one, coming in at $54.99 per bottle.
I guess that confirms that indeed I do have expensive taste. ;o) We all went home well-fed, happy, and warm. Not too shabby for a Friday evening.
My grandmother
kept the babies for us while we were gone, and when we got back to her house
after it was over Olivia was still running wild, and Jacob was like this:
Bless his
heart. He just cannot hang since the
time has changed. I feel the same way,
buddy. I feel the same way.
Saturday was a
lazy day. We had nowhere to be (besides
Brian… he had a tennis match at 9) so the babies and I stayed in our PJs (and
princess dresses) all day. We watched
the Mickey Mouse Christmas special, we did some more Christmas decorating, and
I did a billion loads of laundry while also cleaning the house (which still
looks like a tornado hit it, by the way).
We also, of course, watched the Georgia game and Georgia won! Any Saturday that we win is a good one!
Saturday
evening we went to church and then we joined my entire extended family at our
favorite local Italian restaurant. It’s
very tiny so they shut down the whole place just for us which was pretty cool! After dinner, we swung by DQ and picked up
some blizzards to enjoy later. On the
agenda for the rest of the evening was warm fuzzy PJs, snuggling on the couch,
and Netflix and chill (literally)… and blizzard-eating, of course. :o)
Sunday morning
Jacob requested donuts, and B and I rarely say no to that, so B headed out and
picked up a dozen (waaaay too many for a family of four) as well as a Salted
Caramel Mocha for me. Thanks again,
Amy! I don’t think I’ll ever want
anything else again! And a very special
thanks to my Instagram Husband for taking the cute pic of me holding my red
cup. The things this guy does for me!
After breakfast,
I worked on a craft for an upcoming blog post.
It’s been far too long since I’ve shared a DIY on the ol’ blog so it
felt great to be crafting again… I’m ecstatic to share it with you tomorrow! Here’s a little sneak peek:
I hope your
weekend was as merry as ours! Happy Thanksgiving
week! XO

ReplyDeleteGirl, mine are from WALMART of all places! WALMART! And they were only $7! I didn't want to spend a lot on them in case I looked dumb in them, but I figured for only $7 why not try them? Haha. And they are SO comfy!
