One of my least
favorite months of the year is now under our belts, and we’re now seeing a
light at the end of the tunnel for the excruciatingly hot temps that we’ve been
experiencing all summer.
In case you’re
new around here, one of my goals for this year was to try to not repeat an
exact outfit for the entire year of 2016.
This means that I can repeat shirts, shorts, pants, and dresses, but I
have to style them differently each time I wear them. I do this by pairing them with different
pieces each time or changing up the accessories – jewelry, belts, scarves,
shoes, etc. It’s basically just a ton of
mixing and matching.
So far I’m
still plugging along, but it’s been really hard to keep up with lately. All of the combinations are starting to run
together in my head and I’m having to refer to my past posts every morning to
make sure that I’m not repeating a particular combination. It is so much work!
Anyhoo, here is
how I styled August. I linked all items that I could find underneath each picture, but I tend to wear clothes for years before retiring them, so anything that is not linked is likely no longer available.

Hopefully in next month’s recap, you’ll start to see some
fall clothes incorporated… that all just depends on the weather down here in
the good ol’ south, though!
