Confession Thursday!
The other night
I was rereading some of my old confessions posts, and I realized that I should
just rename the series Complaints instead of Confessions. The majority of my “confessions” are mostly
just whining because most weeks I use it to vent. This week I’m going to try to keep it
light-hearted, but I’m sure next week Complaint Thursday will be back in full
effect! Hehe.
I confess…
… that when
Olivia was born we bought a video monitor that doesn’t allow you to turn off
the screen without turning off the sound, so at night the screen lights up the
whole room. On the first night that we
used it, the light was driving me nuts so I got up, grabbed a pair of black
panties from my drawer, and threw them over the monitor to darken the room. Two years later that same pair of black
panties is still a permanent fixture on my nightstand. #LooksScandalous #CollectingDust #ThingsYouDidntSeeInMyHouseTour
… that I’m
ready for fall. I know I’ve said it a
million times as of late, but I’ll say it again… I’m beyond thrilled about thoughts
of pumpkins and leaves and cool fall breezes.
… that last
weekend when I was getting a few things done in my office, my Rod Stewart
standards album finished and his Christmas one came on, and I listened to the
whole thing.

… that I’m finally
starting to get into Snapchat a little more.
I’ve been on it ever since the beginning, but I never used it much. Recently I started using it just to take
funny pictures with the filters, but that was about it. Well, lately I’ve been starting to stalk some
of my favorite bloggers because I’m loving being able to see behind the scenes. I still don’t send any snaps to anyone (is
that the lingo??) and I haven’t ever created any stories, but I think I might finally start getting into that
soon. #WayLateToTheGame
… that I was in
Bath & Body Works yesterday and when U Can’t Touch This by MC Hammer came
on I sang the whole thing out loud… I even danced a little. And I certainly rapped the part at the
end. I’m sure everyone in there must
have thought I was crazy. #2LegitToQuit

ReplyDeleteI laughed at your panty monitor. Haha! That is the only reason I didn't buy a video monitor. I can't sleep with light of any kind in the room. I still toss a bra over the sensor on our TV every single night!
Yes, I don't even like the slightest bit of light. We have a TiVo in our bedroom and I had to cover it with some black fabric years ago... I guess I should have gone with the same black fabric for the monitor, but I figured the panties are so much classier. Haha. ;o)

ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! Soooo funny about the black panties! LOL! I'm ready for fall weather, too! The weather we've had up here in Michigan has been super humid and hot. I feel like we've been living inside all summer. Bring it fall, bring it!! Oh and girl, I'm aaaaaalways singing and dancing in stores! You and I would get along just fine. I'm sure we could even add in a dance routine! *jazz hands* ;)
