I confess…
… that I’m loving
the gym even more than I thought I would and I’m glad that my co-workers
convinced me to do it.
… that since I
joined last week, I’ve already started neglecting some of my usual duties that
I usually do on my lunch break. For
example, all of the ironing that I normally would have done Tuesday on my lunch
break is still hanging in the laundry room.
And a couple of errands that I would have run on Wednesday are still not
done either. And they have to be done by
Saturday. #Oops
… that I just
got a new computer at work that involves some new-fangled “virtual desktop”
which means that there’s no CPU… just a monitor, a keyboard, and a mouse. And I don’t like it. I’m having to reconfigure all of my settings
for my email, my desktop, and a couple of other programs that I work in because
my settings weren’t migrated to the new computer. Ugh, I hate having to learn new
technology. #OldLadyStatus
… that I’m exhausted
even thinking about this weekend because we have two birthday parties to attend on Saturday. While I love letting the kids hang with their
friends on the weekends and I do enjoy hanging out with the mommas, two in one
day is a little much. Plus it means cake
two times in one day which = potential disaster. One is for a friend at Jacob’s old school and
the other is for a friend at his current school, so there was no way that the
parents would have known that they were planning parties on the same day anyway. Good thing we had a
relaxing weekend last weekend! I’m sure
we’ll make the most of this one as well!
… that I was
going to have a completely different post for you today, but that all went out
the window because I just can’t seem to get caught up on real life this week,
let alone blog life! The ol’ blog had to
take a back seat!
Happy Friday
Eve! XO

I hate having to learn new technology at work, too! Or any place really. So glad to hear that you are loving the gym! Good luck getting your other errands done!
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are enjoying the gym. That's great and if it means you slack a litle bit on chores I say it's worth it. :)
ReplyDeleteYay for joining a gym. Luke & I talk about it, but never commit. What time are the parties?
ReplyDeleteYour excitement for the gym is making me want to get my butt there. Two birthday parties in one day sounds exhausting!
ReplyDeleteI hate any new technology too, LOL! 2 parties in 1 day is a lot! Hopefully the kids have fun and don't go into too much of a sugar coma :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad you are enjoying the gym and taking the time for yourself. I just told my husband that Saturday morning I'm leaving him (for the first time) with both boys because I am missing the gym! It's SO hard to fit it all in when you have little ones!
ReplyDeleteYou should definitely make time to go... it's good to do something for yourself sometimes!
DeleteWell at least your neglecting some of the usual things for something healthy...that's always good. Oh man two parties in one day is rough, been there done that!
ReplyDeleteI have sort of a similar set up at work. I have a Mac but some programs we use require Windows. So I have a virtual desktop within my Mac that I access to get to Windows. I hate it.
ReplyDeleteI hate new work computer set ups too. Some things that you love are gone and moved around. Two birthday parties in one day is rough. And so much sugar!
ReplyDeleteThis is so inspiring! I love the post:)

Thank you!
DeleteTwo Birthday parties does sound a bit exhausting. I guess it is harder with two kiddos and wanting to make everyone happy. Good for you for getting to the gym, and don't you worry...that ironing can definitely wait ;)
ReplyDeleteMan I am so happy that you are loving the gym. I adore mine. Two birthday parties is a lot. Hope you get caught up on all that boring adult stuff.

ReplyDeleteFull weekends are the death of me! I can't imagine throwing kids activities in the mix! Have a great weekend :)
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, yep, and it only seems to get busier and busier the older the get! I can't even imagine what it will be like when they start playing sports. EEEEK.
DeleteNew technology is the worst! When I switched from an iphone to an android it took me weeks to get used to it! But luckily I work for local government, so technology at the office is most definitely NOT cutting edge. And that's fine with me! :)
