When I saw that
Jessica from Secrets of a Stay at Home Mom and Sarah from Seeing All Sides were
hosting a blogger exchange I jumped on board as quickly as I could! The theme of the exchange was Favorite Things
and we all set out to find one (or some) of our favorite things totaling $10 or
less.
What I really wanted to send were Bath & Body Words three wick candles because they were on sale
for 2 for $22, but I was a) not sure how to safely ship a large candle that is
packaged in glass and b) worried that the candles might melt in transit
depending on how they were transported and how hot it was during those
days. It has been hot here, y’all.
I decided that
it was best to scrap that idea and I settled for several smaller items that are
also my favorites instead:
O N E – Bath & Body Works Soap
This is the
only hand soap that we ever use in our house!
I have it in the kitchen and all of the bathrooms, and I have numerous
scents. My very favorite scent for
summer is Peach Bellini. It just screams
summer, and since I’m from Georgia where the peaches grow, I thought that it
was quite fitting.
Each soap is
normally $6.50 (crazytown), but they often have sales, and when they do, I load
up. Well, what do you know on the day that
I went, they had a sale where you could get 4 for $20 or 6 for $24, so I, of
course, went with the better deal and loaded up on six so I could keep four for
our house. That way, I only had to spend
$4 each.
T W O – Cute Notebook
I’m a list
person. And when it comes to lists and organizers,
only paper will do for this girl. I don’t
want to use my phone or my computer or any other kind of electronic device
(except for static lists – i.e. packing lists, grocery lists, etc). I have a trusty rusty Erin Condren Life Planner
for my day to day calendar and to-do’s, and then I always have a good notebook
to compliment the planner for times when there are other lists I need to make,
i.e. project planning, party planning, etc.
My go-to place
for pretty notebooks is Marshalls, and as always, they did not disappoint. I got these beauties for just $3.99 apiece and who doesn't love gold foil?!
T H R E E – Festive Paper Straws
Finally, since
I had a couple of dollars to spare, I chose some festive red, white, and blue
paper straws, also from Marshalls… they put them out for every holiday!
I packaged all
three things with a cute little notecard, and they were on their way to Jacie
at The Fella Life and Mandie at Bad Brew Pack.
I hope you ladies enjoyed your gifts!
This exchange
turned out to be such a fun way to meet some new ladies. Before this, I had never come across Jacie or
Mandie’s blogs, and I had also never come across Vanessa's blog… you can head
over to her blog now to see what she sent to me… I have to say I was SO EXCITED
because I had been shopping for one locally and everyone was sold out! It was like she read my mind.
Jessica was the
only lady who I was paired with that I already knew because we had already been
following along with each other. You can
also head over to her blog to see what she sent to me… one of my favorite
things, and two things that I’ve been dying to try! These girls have great taste, that’s for
sure!
Happy Friday
Eve! XO

DeleteI agree! This blogging community is amazing. I have met some of the best ladies through this outlet! Those bath and body works candles rank pretty high on my favorite things list, too. And the soap is pretty amazing also. I haven’t smelled the Peach Bellini, but I imagine it smells divine! And girl, notebooks are among my favorite things too! Nate came into my office yesterday and said, “Do you realize how many notebooks you have on your desk right now?” I said, “And???” haha! What a great package you sent them!!
