I
had every intention of linking up with Andrea for Show and Tell Tuesday today to
share our favorite vacation spot, but real life got in the way, and I
barely had time to prepare my post.
Nothing earth shattering or terrible happened, just a string of little
things that all added up to one big fat typical Monday…
I
was crazy busy at work trying to get caught up from being out unexpectedly on
Friday with Olivia (and I’m still not caught up) and then Jacob was in a
terrible mood when I picked him up from his first day at summer camp. He said that he had a lot of fun, but he
doesn’t do well with change, so we were somewhat prepared for it, but that
doesn’t make it any easier. We then got
home extra late because I had to fight with the insurance/doctor’s office/pharmacy
over a prescription because the doctor’s office coded something incorrectly
(and we still haven’t gotten it resolved), and then I couldn’t cook as
originally planned because it was too late to start by the time we got home. To top it all off, I’m coming down with a
sore throat and I’m feeling pretty exhausted and unfortunately I won’t be able
to take off of work for myself because I’ve been out too many times recently to
take care of sick babies.
Whew,
definitely a Monday, but I’m trying not to let it get the best of me. Just going to end this post, head downstairs,
curl up on the couch with a warm blanket and a bowl of frozen yogurt, and watch
The Bachelorette. At least Mondays are
good for something, right?
And
since this is supposed to be a vacation link-up, I’ll leave you with some
pictures of B and me in our favorite place… Vegas, BABY! We've been 8 times and I'm itching to go back. I could really use a vacay right
about now and I'd much rather be in Vegas...

ReplyDeleteIf we lived next to each other, I'd bring over some vino for us to share. I hope you don't get sick and also hope today is a better day than yesterday. It's crazy how some days run so smoothly and other days deserve a smack in the face. Bahaha! At least The Bachelorette was waiting for you. Whew! Jojo to the rescue! Haha!

A Marie fun fact: My family went to Vegas way back before I turned 21...I couldn't yet drink, so my dad said my sister and I could go see any show we wanted. So, of course we picked "The Thunder from Down Under!" Oh my lordy, that was a good time. A reaaally good time. Hahaha! ;)
OMG, Marie, I'm dying! That is so funny that y'all chose Thunder from Down Under!!!! I don't think B would want to accompany me to that one. Hehe. I can only imagine your dad's face when you told him you wanted to see that one! Hahahaha.

ReplyDeleteI can't believe you've been to Vegas 8 times! Wow! Tim and I went for my 30th birthday, but haven't been there since. It was horribly hot (4th of July weekend) but we really loved it. I could rave about the food all day long! Great pictures!

Being off unexpectedly is the worst! Actually, the catching up is probably the worst part! Hope you get back on track soon! Hopefully looking back on those fun vacations made you feel a little happier! :)
ReplyDeleteFirst off, I am sorry that you have had a rough couple of days. I totally get all of the chaos and how it throws everything off. I have had a few of those days lately and have been dreaming about going on vacation soon too. My countdown is on (26 days). I love Vegas and I am a short hour flight from there (I have a ton of Southwest points). When you go next, let me know and my husband and I may be able to sneak down there. We have family there too so it gives us an excuse to see them as well.
