Five on Friday - Summer Products I'm Loving

Sorry for being MIA yesterday… I got a call around lunchtime on Wednesday that I needed to pick up Olivia from school because she had thrown up and was running a low grade fever.  I blame Jessica because her boys just got over a stomach bug and she and I are always twinning in every other aspect of our lives, so I guess it was only fitting that we twin in the sick kid department as well.  Definitely one that I could have done without, though.  ;o) 

Anyway, after a long afternoon of catching vomit in my hands (and hair, and shirt, and pants), bathing (her and me), washing clothes, and doing all the sterilizing, I had no time for blogging.  And once the babies were in bed I was so exhausted that I skipped my workout and vegged on the couch.  I wasn’t even thinking about a blog post.  Fortunately Olivia seems to be on the mend… Brian did have to stay home with her yesterday again because of the 24 hour rule at school, but she was already back to her sassy and wild self… as a matter of fact, I went home on my lunchbreak and painted her little fingernails and toenails.  Now we’re just praying that nobody else gets sick. 

Today I thought that I would share a few things that I’m really loving right now for summer since it’s right around the corner.

O N E – Sandals

AAAALL the heart eyes for these fringe wedges.  These are the most comfortable wedges I think I’ve ever owned and they’re so versatile – you can pair them with a summer dress, a romper, shorts and a flowy top, or even skinny jeans and a tank.  And who doesn’t adore fringe right now?

T W O – Casual Shoes

On the weekends I’ve been living in these.  They are so comfy and so cute with so many different outfits.  I opted for the Shoreline version because they’re a little a bit more stylish than traditional Converse.  Plus, they’re easy to throw on because you don’t even have laces to tie.  I could not love these more.  And also, Olivia has a pair so we can twin in them.  Hehe. 

T H R E E – Scent

I’m dying over this candle from Bath and Body Works.  It’s fruity and fresh and it’s the quintessential summer scent.  It makes the whole house smell delicious!

F O U R – Drink

Do you like wine?  Do you like margaritas?  Well, if you answered yes to both then you will love Arboritas!  One of my mom’s co-workers gave her a bottle last week and we’ve been enjoying it ever since.  It’s basically margarita flavored wine.  Say what?!  It’s really refreshing and crisp and it also has an unexpected zing to it because it’s carbonated.  It is very sweet, though, so I can’t drink a ton of it at once, but it’s great with tacos, and it’s easy to grab and pour when you don’t have time to make real margaritas.  I have never liked Arbor Mist wine – heck to the no! – but this, I like.  And it also comes in strawberry and a few other flavors.

F I V E – Song

Have y’all heard Justin Timberlake’s new song??  I am loving it!  Such a happy and carefree song so it’s perfect for the summer.  Plus, it’s child-friendly so I can jam with the kiddos in the car.  I forsee many a drive blasting this catchy little tune with the windows rolled down!
