I think we all
need to discuss the performance by Justin Timberlake and Chris Stapleton on the
CMA Awards Wednesday night. Did you guys
see it?? It. Was. Phenomenal. I was literally cheesing from ear to ear
(like showing teeth and everything) during the entire performance. And – chills – the entire time. Y’all know how much I love my JT. He can do no wrong. And as for Chris Stapleton? I only knew a couple of his songs before
this, but you can bet I’m buying his entire album this weekend. He is fantastic. If you missed it, you can see it...
everywhere on the internet. Because it’s
been, well, everywhere.

This meme made
me laugh so hard. It is so true and it
totally sums up motherhood. I swear, sometimes
kids make you feel like a crazy person – one minute you’ll be stressed out and
yelling at them for something and then literally one minute later they’ll do something
so sweet and you’ll just melt into a puddle and feel the most intense love for
them. And those moments before
bedtime? Some of the very best. It sure is amazing how one tiny little human
can take you on such a roller coaster of emotions in such a short span of time. I sure wouldn’t trade a second of it, either.

Speaking of
motherhood, I had a proud mommy moment Wednesday night. Jacob has had this clock for a while now, and
Wednesday evening he told me that he wanted to learn how to tell time. I explained very briefly what the hour hand
and the minute hand are for, and then I started setting different times for him
to tell. He picked it up
immediately. The only time he had
trouble was when the time was positioned at the top of the hour because he kept
saying it was, “four-sixty o’clock or eleven-sixty o’clock.” Hahahaha.
Somewhat true, though, right?
Anyway, if you
have littles, this is the perfect Christmas gift. It’s not only a clock, but it’s also a
puzzle, and it teaches colors, numbers, and shapes if your child is too young to
learn to tell time.

I snapped this
picture of Olivia Wednesday night… It’s a shame she has no personality.

As I said
before, I’m off today!! What do I do on
a day off? All the things, of course. I know I’ve mentioned plenty of times that I’m
not one to just lay around and relax. I
thrive on projects and doing crafty things and organizing stuff. So when I take a day off, you can pretty much
guarantee that I have a mile-long list of things to do and that I won’t be
vegging on the couch and watching TV. Here’s
a little peek at the list for tomorrow... and this is more for me than it is for you... this is a great way to keep track of it!
- Drop J at school (in yoga pants and an oversized tunic
so I can feel like a stay at home mom… just kidding. But I probably really will wear yoga
pants.)
- Treat myself to an Eggnog Latte from Starbucks (just
to continue my quest to be #Basic)
- Finish cleaning out fall decoration boxes
- Paint two wall hangings and hang in half bath
- Photograph half bath for home tour on blog
- Paint scroll in master bedroom white and rehang
- Photograph master bedroom for home tour on blog
- Label toy baskets in playroom
- Photograph playroom for home tour on blog
- Photograph Olivia’s room for home tour on blog
- Serving tray makeover for coffee table
- Clean out fireplace to get ready for the new season
- Finish organizing and backing up recent pictures
- Start planning blog posts for our wedding anniversary
(I’m excited about this one)
- Possibly pull out Christmas tree for master bedroom and
start decorating (I put up a ton of decorations for Christmas and it takes
forever to get it all up, so don’t judge…)
- Listen to Christmas music while doing all of it
Looks like I
have my work cut out for me, but that’s ok… I’m feeling pretty ambitious.
Happy weekend,
lovelies!

Ok, first, that performance, OMG!! It was simply amazing. Second, that meme!! It's so me too! My husband likes to call me bipolar when I act like that, LOL! And whoa girl, you have a laundry list to tackle today, but I know you'll get through it! Have a great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteHahahaha, I ALMOST said bipolar instead of crazy person, but I didn't want to offend anyone. That's what Brian and I say all the time, though!
DeleteI literally posted the same thing about the JT/Chris performance #twins! Um how freakin' cute are your kids?! Good gosh!
ReplyDeleteLinds @ Not A Mom
I've seen the performance on a couple of people's blogs today and it really was amazing!! I'd say enjoy your day off, but you'll be a busy lady so I hope you have a great weekend! xo, Biana -BlovedBoston
ReplyDeleteHaha I hear ya on the kids!…While I'm not a mom yet, I'm a teacher and have a class of 27 kiddos. I feel like all day I am saying, "keep your hands to yourself," "don't' say that to your classmate," "no running," and then I get a giant hug as the kids run out of the class at 3:00, and I take a deep breath and realize how much I love those crazy kiddos. I can only imagine that being magnified a million times once I have my own kids running around someday soon! Enjoy your THREE day weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat meme! LOL! So, so, so true. Every.single.day. Love it. Thanks for the chuckle. :)
ReplyDeleteGuuuuuurl...that list! You don't mess around! You forgot to include, go to Marie's house and help her out with all the things she thinks about doing while sitting on the couch watching tv! LOL! I kid, I kid! I hope you accomplished a ton! Can't wait for all the tours! You go, girl. :)
Haha, thanks Marie! I sure don't mess around and I did get a lot of it done! I can't wait to share the house with everyone! Will probably wait until after Christmas, though. I want to do a Christmas tour as well!
