Hi
friends! Monday is coming to a close and
that means that we are one day closer to FOOOOTBAAAALL SATURDAAAAY! We’re heading to Athens on Saturday to watch
our Dawgs play Bama. The weather is
supposed to be cloudy and cool, so we are hopefully going to have a perfect
football weekend… all we need is a WIN!!!!
We spent Friday
evening downtown. Our city has brought
back their outdoor concert series now that the weather has finally cooled down,
so we took the kids down there for dinner and some live music. The kids always love hanging out by the
fountain (Olivia would have preferred to hang out in the fountain – seriously, she threw multiple fits when we wouldn’t
let her get in there) and Jacob was ecstatic because the balloon lady was there. She made him a Georgia (red and black)
fishing pole so he could “fish” in the fountain. Good thing we had that as backup in case somebody
needed to fish Olivia out.
Saturday, I
never even left the house. I stayed in
my PJs aaaall day, took a shower late in the afternoon only to change into another
pair of PJ’s, ate some Five Guys take-out that Brian and Jacob picked up, drank
some pumpkin beer, and watched college football. All.
Day. Long. We are always on the go, so I adore rare days like this when we have
nowhere to be. During football games I
worked on a couple of projects including making over these pumpkins. I’ll be posting the finished ones later this
week.
Sunday we
actually got dressed and left the house… we took the kids out to Jason’s Deli
for lunch, and then over to the playground to get some fresh air since they
were both cooped up in the house all day Saturday. They sure do love this new playground. Neither of them wanted to leave!
Sunday evening,
instead of going to my parents’ house for dinner like usual, we had them over
to our house so I could cook for my mom for her birthday. I made Baked Ziti, tossed a salad with all
the fixins, and baked some garlic breadsticks along with a double chocolate
cake for the perfect birthday dessert. We opened a bottle of wine, turned on some
tunes, and sat around chatting and laughing all evening. I sure do love these people! It’s always such a wonderful way to close out
the weekend and prepare for the week ahead.
Looks like so much fun! Great pics and those babes are presh!
